The role of the Amneal Sales Team is to deliver on customer expectations. We achieve this by offering the greatest Business Manager-to-pharmacy ratio of any company in the Australian market. We have handpicked a team of leading industry professionals combined with the best of the best from other industries for a perfect balance of experience with perspective. This remarkable team is responsible for delivering platforms that address the real needs of pharmacy owners today; from implementing strategies to return the dispensary to a business profit centre, to managing fundamental inventory requirements.

Our Marketing Team is responsible for establishing the Amneal brand in the Australian marketplace. As part of our directive, we promote the overall business, our products, our business platforms and our services to the wider pharmacy market. We also offer our customers support with consumer material and reporting to optimise brand transition and generic substitution.

Justin Rolls – Head of Sales and Marketing

With over 11 years in the pharmaceutical space, Justin has gained a wealth of knowledge about what it takes for Pharmacy to survive and to thrive in a challenging, constantly changing business environment.

Justin holds a Bachelor of Management degree with majors in Marketing and Advertising. His career began with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority where he held various roles within the marketing and communication sector, finishing his time there as Senior Public Affairs Manager. Justin then took on the role of Communications Director for the Australian Property Institute. He also ran his own finance business specialising in residential and commercial lending.

His first venture into pharmaceuticals was with Alphapharm where he spent over three years building strategic partnerships with community pharmacy. He finished as the highest performer among a sales team of 50. Justin moved on to Genepharm Pharmaceuticals, now known as Actavis, where he remained for seven years. Justin took on various responsibilities, eventually leaving the company as State Sales Manager for NSW/ACT.

Justin’s sales philosophy is simple: “Identify a need and provide a solution.”

Away from work, Justin is a loving husband and father of three beautiful children. He has a passion for sport and loves to get out on the water and do a bit of water skiing.

Steve Zafiriou – National Operations, Integration and Sales Manager

Steve brings a wealth of generics sales and management experience to Amneal. With a degree in Business, majoring in Industrial Relations, Steve commenced his career carrying the bag for Alphapharm and Arrow as a Business Advisor. Steve soon realised his potential and moved into management. Initially within Arrow and later Ranbaxy as Regional Sales Manager, where he was responsible for forecasting, strategy and management of the sales team.

Steve’s reputation soon attracted the attention of Actavis (formally Ascent) and he soon joined the company as State Sales Manager, Victoria. In this role he was responsible for the training and management of six representatives and two OTC representatives. Steve’s management style is consultative and he has an open door policy. He leads by example and always empowers his people. He brings to Amneal solid and established relationships within Pharmacy.

Steve has avid interests in soccer, music and photography. He is married with three children – all in their 20’s – and always enjoys a good dance and a glass of wine!

Sue Smilovitis – Sales Supervisor WA/SA/NT

Sue has over 20 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, starting as a Pharmacy Assistant while completing a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science. She then began her career as a Sales Representative with a brokerage and moved into Territory Sales for multi-nationals such as Pfizer and Bayer in their Consumer Care divisions.

Sue is most recently moving from an Operations Manager role with a small group of Pharmacies in WA. Her largest accolades as a Sales Manager are being nominated for and the recipient of numerous high achiever awards along with placing first in 2 national sales drives. Sue also attained ‘double digit’ growth every year in her six year placement with Bayer Consumer Care.

Sue has extensive KAM experience across WA State based groups and is very much looking forward to bringing her sales drive, industry knowledge and strong will for success to ‘Team Amneal’.

Nick Treloar – Business Development Manager - Key Accounts SA/NT

Nick is an accomplished Sales Professional and Key Account Manager with over sixteen years’ extensive experience in Key Account management, mainly gained in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

Nick’s sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry has been in the fields of community pharmacy and the medical industry, he has worked for the following companies: Arrow/Sigma, Bristol Myers Squibb, Pfizer and Sanofi over past thirteen years.

His key strengths include: building relationships, providing sales solutions, attention to detail and he is customer focused to develop growth/profit opportunities.

He is recognised for his excellent track record in winning and growing business in highly competitive environments and for his exceptional relationship management

In his spare time Nick likes to spend it with family and friends and he also likes to get away on some travel adventures to new places.

Ornella Caiazza – Brand Manager - Consumer Portfolio

Ornella grew up in Italy where she graduated in Communication and Media Studies. After completing her master’s degree in Business Communication and working briefly as a Junior Product Manager in the videogame industry, she relocated to Melbourne where she pursued a career in marketing.

In 2011 Ornella joined the Ascent Pharmaceuticals marketing team as a Marketing Coordinator in the OTC division working on brands such as Hairy Lemon, then gradually progressed into the generics division. Working closely with sales, logistics, business development and regulatory affairs for 3 years, she learned a lot about different aspects of the Australian pharmaceutical industry and generic medicines.

During her last year at Ascent, Ornella worked on projects including the rebranding of Ascent Pharmaceuticals|The Watson Group to Actavis and the implementation of an online point-of-sale ordering platform.

Ornella is very excited to be a part of this new venture. If you ask her what her three favourite things in the world are, she will tell you they are travelling, good food and good movies.
